The Sardinia Film Festival opens the submissions to its thirteen edition that will take place in Sardinia in June and July 2018 The call will last till the 10th of February 2018 and it’s downloadable here , and, as usual, it’s free of charge to enter.(registration form here)
The Festival, one of the most known by young international filmmakers, is organized by the Cineclub Sassari and this year as well is waiting a ton of new, wonderful films capable to deeply move the audience with stories from all around the world.
With the power of images, Cinema can reach and move close different countries and cultures stimulate confrontation and create debates about very important contemporary subjects.
This important exchange is in fact one of the Sardinia Film Festival guidelines, a target we believe we can achieve throughout screenings and satellite events. All films screened at the Festival are Sardinians premiere and, in various cases, Italian or European first screening.
For longer than a decade the Sardinia Film Festival has been a reference point not just for the audience but for directors too, especially those inexperienced or at their very beginning.. All these years, the Festival objective has been to promote and value cinema, especially European independent productions, foster exchange and confrontation between different art expressions, encourage and support youngsters to embrace cinema professions.
For the effort shown in more than a decade, the Festival gained the Italian UNESCO National Committee recognition, the representative prize of Presidency of Ministers’ Cabinet and the Medals of the Presidency of the Republic, Presidency of the Senato and Presidency of the Chamber of Deputies, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
